MOVING TOWARDS SUSTAINABILITY

Our garments are becoming more and more sustainable.

And we are just getting started.

We have been manufacturing and distributing fashion internationally since 1960. This has undoubtedly left a footprint on the planet, and it is up to us to make that footprint as small as possible. Our mission is for the fashion industry to be an active part of the change that society is calling for towards a way of life that is more respectful and fairer to both the planet and to people.
The goal is to have an impact, on you.

It’s very important to us that you feel proud wearing our brand, and not just because it looks great on you. We want you to also feel comfortable knowing that our decisions are always aimed at improving the sustainability of our product.
In addition, we are always looking for technological innovations that bring us closer to this goal of making our designs more sustainable every year.

More efficient facilities, less polluting and less water-intensive production processes, more environmentally friendly fabrics and gradually bringing the production sites closer are some of them.

Circular economy.
Let’s re-think.

We design our garments and accessories to last longer every time so that you can wear them again and again. Have you had your Lois jeans many years? We strive to make them last a lifetime.

The best way to be sustainable is to reuse the clothes we already have and, if we are creative, to even give them a different new use. However, if the time has come to dispose of them, we should give them a second life: recycling and using recycled materials is a smart way to reduce waste to 0%.

We have added designs made from recycled or natural fabrics such as Tenzel©, Repreve© polyester (made from PET plastic bottles) or recycled cotton to our collections.

· WE ARE COMMITED ·

Water in rivers, not
factories.

For now, water is still indispensable in the fashion industry, but every day we are researching ways to reduce our consumption and leave water where it belongs: in rivers and oceans.

We use ozone in the washing of some of our jeans: reducing water consumption by 50%.

Indigo is one of the most water-intensive colours, but a waterless dyeing process has been developed that drastically reduces its impact on nature.

Our achievements.

· We have reduced our carbon footprint. Gradually bringing production sites closer to local markets, thus also favouring the development of their economy.

· We have reduced water consumption by finding new production processes.

· Our factories are more efficient. Part of our production is developed in factories that use natural fuels (biomass).

· We use recycled and naturally sourced fabrics in more and more garments.

· We are using less chemicals and less water in the production of denim fabrics. For worn effects on denim fabrics we have started using laser instead of Potassium Permanganate. And to achieve the different washes of the demin, in more and more designs we are using ozone instead of Sodium Hypochlorite (bleach), a much cleaner and more environmentally friendly solution.

· Better Cotton Initiative. We have started working in line with this initiative, which ensures that cotton production is fair for workers and does not damage the environment with pesticides or deforestation.

We believe in a better future and are steadfastly on the road to sustainability. And we are just getting started.
